What to expect on a solutions presentation meeting with Forgeway

Now that you’ve had the first ‘discovery meeting’ with us here at Forgeway, it’s now time for the solutions presentation meeting.

The solutions presentation meeting is where we discuss our solution to your challenge. After the discovery call, we assessed your challenge and came up with what we truly believe will solve the challenge.

You are likely wondering what you can expect from the meeting. From that, you can work out the next steps after the meeting.

This article will cover:

  • What we discuss on the solutions presentation meeting
  • What we need to ensure the meeting is worthwhile
  • The expectations from the meeting
  • What happens after the solutions presentation meeting

By the end of the article, you will have a good idea of what you can expect from the solutions presentation meeting with Forgeway. You can then prepare for the meeting appropriately.

What we discuss on the solutions presentation meeting

Firstly, we discuss the original challenge/problem that you are experiencing. We want you to be absolutely certain that we understand your problem/challenge.

Once we have discussed the original challenge, we move on to the solution. Most of the time, the solution will include our products. We explain why we believe the solution is the best way to solve your challenge.

We then go through any obstacles that could hinder the buying process. Typical examples of obstacles are:

  • Accreditations
  • Health and Safety concerns
  • Minimum order quantities

As soon as we have established what obstacles could arise, we can work together to remove those obstacles. We want to reduce the number of stumbling blocks as much as possible.

What we need to make sure the meeting is worthwhile

Ideally, all of the decision-makers should be present. This way we can effectively deal with anything that could become a stumbling block in the journey.

You may need to plan how the solution should be presented to the decision-makers in your organisation. In this case, we would have a meeting before the solutions presentation. You can create a plan for how you want to approach the solutions presentation with the decision-makers.

Once you have established who should come to the meeting, there is one more thing we need to ensure the call is worthwhile. We need to know what testing or sampling work you will want to undertake (if any).

You should come to the meeting with the knowledge of whether you will want test work. If you do, we can then establish what that test work will look like.

The expectations from a solutions presentation meeting

There are a few expectations we should establish before the solutions presentation meeting.

What you can expect from us

You can expect us to provide you with a full rundown of the solution. We have concluded that this solution is the best way to solve the challenge you are facing. Now we will tell you why we know this is the best solution.

You can expect us to provide all the details about how we arrived at this solution. We want you to have full confidence in the solution we are offering

What we expect from you

We expect you to gather enough information so that you can make a decision about the next step. We don’t expect you to make this decision at the meeting. However, we often find that this meeting will provide enough information so you can decide what the next step looks like.

To do this, we expect you to quiz us on the solution so that you gain enough confidence to make the decision.

What happens after the solutions presentation meeting?

After the solutions presentation, you need to make a decision about the next steps. We presented this solution because we absolutely believe it will solve your problem.

But, you may not agree with us. Your idea of a solution could be different to ours. In this case, we can discuss variations of our solution to see if they are what you want. If these variations differ too far from the original solution, we will point you in a different direction.

Nonetheless, if you like the idea of the solution we have presented, we can discuss what the next steps look like. Usually, at this point, you will want to conduct some test work of your own. But if you don’t want to conduct any testing, the next step is to agree on a plan of implementation.

We will help you implement the solution into your organisation.
