Overview

Formoa Crystal is engineered for pristine, transparent sealing applications. Its inherent UV stability ensures its clarity remains uncompromised, even under challenging environmental conditions. With a reduced viscosity, it is easy to use and tool up. Formoa Crystal adheres to metals, plastics, composites, and wood without the need for a primer. While highly effective, it also remains safe, although certain users might exhibit an allergic response.

How to use

Application Temperature:

Between 1℃ and 30℃
(Lower temperatures will increase thickness)

Surface preparation:

Clean surface to remove grease and contamination. Then apply Formoa surface activator prior to bonding and allow 10 minutes to flash off. General sealing will not require the use of surface activator.

Application:

Method will depend on foil pack or cartridge use. If unsure on the correct method of application, follow your company's SOP or watch the 'How-To' video in the media section below.

Tooling/Removal:

Use an approved soapy solution before the skin over time.

Faq's

No, providing the user follows the correct instructions, Formoa Crystal will not become yellow even when exposed to UV and harsh conditions. There may be certain chemicals that cause the sealant to become yellow.

We aren't talking about the blue cartridge, but the blue tint is nothing to be worried about. The UV blockers incorporated into the product to help retain its clarity long-term are the cause of the blue tint. These will subside and it will become Crystal Clear.

Yes, once Formoa Crystal is fully cured, it can be painted over. As there is no silicone based ingredients in Formoa Crystal , it will not cause paint bubbling or cracking.

Yes, Formoa Crystal doesn't contain any harmful chemicals. It may cause an allergic reation in some users. However, this is rare. Formoa Crystal also has ISEGA Food Safety Approval so can be used in any applications that require that accreditation.

Yes and no. Formoa Crystal does not contain any silicone-based ingredients. Instead, it is an MS polymer-based product. However, it is the same as silicone in that you can use Formoa Crystal instead of a silicone sealant. It has higher performance properties than a silicone. So if you want a cheap and cheerful product, it isn't for you.
