•Can be sanded after full cure.
•No bubble formation within adhesive.
•Very easy to tool and finish.
•High UV resistance.
•Minimal health and safety considerations.
•High specific adhesion.
•Excellent long term durability.
•Easy to extrude and tool up.
•For use in glass bonding applications in the bus, coach, automotive, rail and leisure vehicle industries.
•Backfilling/sealing between glass and body side.
•Structural elastic bonding between metal, composite, painted surfaces, and many plastics (not PE, PP or Teflon).
Method of use
Adhesion and surfaces preparation:
Nature Clean, dry, free of dust and grease.
Preparation Clean with Formoa® Surface Activator
(bodyside and glass).
Priming Where no ceramic frit protector layer exists, use Formoa® Primer PG. We recommend preliminary compatibility tests previous to application.
Application of the adhesive:
Formoa Screen can be applied by a manual or pneumatic gun onto only one part. Join the parts together within 10 minutes. When compressed, the bond line thickness should not be less than 1-2mm, in order to allow the correct curing and best performance characteristics once cured.
Onto large surfaces the adhesive can be applied in parallel lines, 20-40cm apart.
12 months from the date of manufacture if sealant is kept in a dry storage place at a temperature ranging from +5°C to +25°C.
