F4134

Forbond F4134 is a high density, closed cell PVC foam. It has excellent abrasion resistance and low water absorption. It is a high internal strength foam, which makes it an excellent shock and vibration dampener. Its firmness and high deflection force are very useful in die-cut applications.

To create an adequate seal, the foam must be compressed a minimum of 30% in the final joint. Once in place, the foam will be able to handle normal joint movement due to thermal expansion or environmental forces. The acrylic adhesive used on the Forbond product line is a pressure sensitive adhesive and therefore must be applied to clean, dry surfaces.
